Tobi′s main focus is the modelling of communication networks and the application of those models for the analysis of real communication networks. He is also active in the research community in the field of software-defined networks and edge networks.

Ralf is a bridge-builder between Software and Hardware with a strong background in programmable technologies such as P4-switches and FPGAs and has a passion for understanding the details of systems and the interaction of different components. He is also active in the research community in the field of software-defined networking.

kumeco GmbH

In 2022, Tobi and Ralf founded kumeco, which is a university-supported startup in the BMBF project Open6GHub with a focus on communication networks. Our primary motivation was the wishful thinking of bringing novel concepts in the field of network softwarization to operators and vendors, the currently missing step towards large-scale deployments of network softwarization.
